A 5.5-Inch Galaxy S8 with 4K UHD Display, Rumored
A very early prediction and rumor that the next Galaxy S8 will be VR-ready with a 4K UHD display. The device is still far away, but does this make it true?
Although the human vision might be limited to the distance, resolution and health of the eyeballs, it is still appreciated to have 4k resolution as an option to a high end smartphone. A smartphone on the future.
Sony might have a quick love affair with 4k on its smartphones, it surely went back to just Full HD with the rest of the competitors. However, Samsung have other plans. It’s taking the Galaxy S8 to the next level by making it VR-ready once it’s released next year in the spring.
A quick skepticism is expected since the next Note is yet to be announced but according to UBI Research, it could happen. UBI is a market-leading Korean research firm specializing in OLED reports says that it is confident to see a 5.5-inch 4k panel on top of the next Galaxy flagship smartphone. This and a very interesting foldable Galaxy X.
This is yet to be confirmed since the next star will be announced in the name of the Note 7 which in itself is impressive. With a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, it has an 806 pixel per inch density. This is not too bad at all. And if HTC Vive and Oculus Rift seems to be doing just fine with lower resolutions, then why hurry?
