Final Name: It’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!

Evan Blass confirmed that indeed Samsung will be skipping a number to sync the names of the flagship smartphone and phablet with the same number very new release.

Final Name: It’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 7!

The bottom line is it’s final. The next Galaxy Note from Samsung will officially be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The current Note 5 will be replaced with the newer version, the Note 7, according to Evan Blass. There will be a lot of reasons but the main one is the company’s decision to align the names of the Note family with the Galaxy S family. Another reason is to give a direct competition to the next iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 7 Plus.

Samsung has been historically announcing the newest Note at IFA in Berlin, but there have also been exceptions to the rule. This year, the South Korean company is expected to hold a special event at the beginning of August where the Galaxy Note7 will see the light of day.
