Please all meet the Gear VR 2. The next version of the consumer grade VR headset made affordable and accessible for those who want to try Virtual Reality without spending too much money and time to set it up. However, with the advent and unveiling of the new Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is now tasked to make a new Gear VR to tap the horsepower of smartphone that drives it.

The Gear VR 2 is compatible with the GS7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and Edge+, courtesy of both USB Type-C and micro USB connectors. The viewing angle is increased to an amazing 101 degrees which comes with two color options: blue and black. At 345 grams, or 312 without its front cover, the 2016 Samsung Gear VR sounds relatively lightweight, and it’s far from bulky too, measuring 207.8 x 122.5 x 98.6mm.

This is primarily designed for the Note 7 so users can “experience premium virtual reality, anywhere”
