Release Date for the iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 will likely be launched in September of 2016 following the Apple tradition of releasing a new model of the iPhone every September. Though some may thought that it would be released sooner but with iPhone’s history, it never happens.

September is also the time for the official version of iOS 10 will be released so it would be logical to expect a new iPhone to come along with it.

The best bit of news for the price of the iPhone 7 is that you get a 32Gb model for US$649, it used to be the price of the 16Gb model in the previous models. However, price variation rarely occurs for iPhones so prices would likely remain static.

The new iPhone 7 is rumored to sport water resistance, no bezel display and body and invisible antenna lines.

A new color is added to the mix of design options: Space Black. This is similar hue sported by some Apple Watch variants. The last known iPhone to come in Space Black is the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 7 will be surprisingly slimmer than the already slim iPhone 6s. It could go between 6 to 6.5mm in thickness. Aside from the slim chassis is the rumored ruggedized features that will make the very first water and dust proof iPhone.

The dreaded camera bump at the back as sported by the iPhone 6 lineup will also be gone; as well as the antenna bands. This will be a sleeker look for the iPhone 7.

No Headphone Jack on the iPhone 7

Apparently the most controversial feature if the iPhone 7 is the conscious decision of Apple to ditch the headphone jack. They say it’s making the phone bulky so users would opt to use an adapter to use conventional headphones or wireless options.

However, it is rumored that Apple will include a lightning connected earbuds right out inside the iPhone 7 box.
