No Android Wear 2.0 for First Gen Moto 360
Motorola Support just tweeted this bad news of no updates to Android Wear 2.0 this fall for first generation Moto 360. Now, it is safe to say that it would just have to stick with the stock OS.
Android Wear started as a work in progress when it launched in 2014, and with its current status now, it is good to know the level of maturity it gained. The updates and improvements to the OS in general gave rise to new features bundled with its new release in the fall.
Not as lucky as the rest of the smartwatch adapters, Android Wear 2.0 won’t be coming to first generation LG G Watch and Motorola Moto 360. No updates. No upgrades. But unlike LG, which actually announced this bad news right after the Google I/O, Motorola gave the heart-breaking response over a tweet to a Moto 360 user.
Although it is certainly game over for these two devices, the remaining competing brands like the Samsung Gear Live, Sony SmartWatch 3 or the Asus ZenWatch are yet to be confirmed.
