Wish Happiness transforms a playground carousel into a colourful illuminated ‘wheel of positive energy’. Visitors who turn the wheel generate a collective wish for peace and happiness to all beings.

Inspired by traditional Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels, the act of spinning the wheel playfully engages visitors in embodied rituals of generosity, contemplation and well-wishing.

The energy released by turning the Wish Happiness wheel, projects an image onto the carousal, which is based on a Buddhist mandala. In Buddhism mandalas are seen as representations of the universe; they are also symbols of protection, peace and the enlightened mind.

Each time the wheel is rotated by visitors, a bell rings. Happily, it signals the transmission of positive thoughts and wishes out and into the universe.
