iPhone 6s: You have to get one for yourself
A number of months ago Apple introduced the iPhone 6S and if you’re not acquainted with the Apple habit you may be puzzled relating to this new iPhone as it seems the same to the iPhone 6 but fear not they are not the similar. On the interior at least.
There is improved hardware, greatly improved camera, better case, the new 3D Touch and (eventually) 2GB of RAM. For many years the ‘S’ always introduced one thing updated to the plate, the iPhone 4S brought in Siri and the iPhone 5S had the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The key enhancement to the iPhone 6s is absolutely the new pressure-sensitive touchscreen technology named the 3D Touch that though at this moment is very outstanding and should definitely transform into more appealing when more applications are launched for it.
Primarily, what Apple should do is to influence people that the S version of iPhone 6 brings in the upgrade, even when there are a load of other smartphones to pick from and unfortunately the iPhone 6S doesn’t appear like a game changer, it only has some understated enhancement that do have a lot of potential with future updates or installments.
At first glimpse, the iPhone 6S seems similar to the iPhone 6, it has the same rounded corners and edges, but there are some subtle design adjustments.
The face of the smartphone is currently sturdier, the glass being less likely to snap if the phone is dropped and last but not least, the iPhone 6S is now constructed from the 7000 series aluminum.
As said before, these types of improvements are understated and will likely go unseen by most. The volume buttons, the silencer switch and the power key remain in the exact place as in 2015 and this isn’t a poor detail because the phone is certainly easy to manage with one hand and the buttons are exactly where they should be.
As a side note, the iPhone 6S works with iPhone 6 cases.
The iPhone 6S seems to be to have the same display screen as the iPhone 6, featuring a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1334x750p, 16 million colours and a pixel density of 326ppi.
Though there are far affordable phones that offer 1080p resolution or even 4K display screen( which is a serious overkill!), the iPhone 6S still offers a terrific display screen experience, being crisp and clear, with deep blacks, bright whites and very accurate colours.
While the resolution stays the same there is just one major add-on off the in 2015’s flagship. You are now presented with the 3D Touch which provides an entirely new way to connect with the iPhone.
This uncovers entire new probabilities. If right now you could simply open pop-up windows, trigger quick actions or expand, preview links and messages and there is a lot that may be finished the near future.
The iPhone 6S comes with more desirable components than the iPhone 6, with an Apple A9 Chipset, 1.84 GHz dual-core Typhoon CPU, six-core PowerVR GT7600 GPU, 2GB RAM and, still, no card slot.
This equates into better multitasking, better handling of graphically-demanding tasks (like playing games), there was no stammering, no lost frames and the phone never dragged while we used it.
But there are some drawbacks. Apple decided to keep 16GB as base memory for iPhone 6S and because there isn’t a microSD slot, filling up those 16GB will happen quickly.
The iOS has constantly been the backbone of the iPhones and the new installment, the iOS 9 offers the same stability and user-friendliness we were acquainted to and thanks to its refined tweaks for many years and the new added 3D touch, the iOS 9 is the very best iPhone software to this day.
As regularly, the iOS is quick and receptive, the App Store is still dynamic (and of higher quality than Google Play Store) and the apps have gone through some improvements and upgrades.
The Apple Maps, now, has transit directions, there is a News app, that is pretty standard, pulling out topics from different sources in a magazine-style interface. Notifications are now filtered by time, not by app and due to the M9 coprocessor, Siri is always on standby you can now you can wake it by shouting Hey Siri as opposed to pressing a button. Siri, also, can answer a great deal even more commands.
The 3D Touch is its highlight and even though in its early stage, is employed the most ideal with Apple’s Mail. You can preview messages, archive them or mark them as unread.
The iPhone 6S features a non-removable 1715 mAh battery. Yes, you heard that right, the battery is actually smaller, a downgrade from the iPhone 6’s 1810mAh.
There have been dissatisfactions about the battery from the iPhone 6 and yeah, Apple didn’t quite resolved this problem. Anyway, the battery life evened out at 15 to 16 hours a day and there are a great deal of individuals who have to recharge their iPhone 6S during the mid-afternoon.
It’s not like it isn’t logical, the good reason being the use of 3D Touch. The battery didn’t possess more than enough space and they intended to keep the same style as iPhone 6. Yet, there are bunches of smartphones that feature 4000mAh and battery life is generally a deciding factor for prospective buyers.
Is iPhone 6S a very good phone? Yes, it is. It does have its distinct functions and they guarantee a large amount in future upgrade. Is it really worth upgrading over iPhone 5S? The users of iPhone 5S are the main objective, the iPhone 6S being leagues ahead from all standpoints (better camera, larger screen, better display, higher performance, a lot more stable).
But can Apple persuade iPhone 6 end users to upgrade to 6S? Maybe. At this moment, the iPhone 6S does not deliver anything state-of-the-art and it is pretty close to the iPhone 6, but it may be worth getting a taste of these early installments (like 3D Touch) ahead of everyone, before it gets wide-spread. And if you would like to switch over from Android or Windows or you’re just curious exactly how iOS works, then the iPhone 6S is the greatest choice.
