Steve Wozniak doesn’t like wireless audio for iPhone 7

If there is someone we should try to hear out today about the future of the next iPhone, it’s Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. And he doesn’t like Bluetooth for audio.

We may have been jaded with the iPhone 7 rumors of Apple finally chopping off the 3.5mm headphone jack from its latest iPhone. This raised a lot of controversy, but for the tech industry, we call it the hype. Many of the audio aficionados even showed dismay over this saying that it may turn off some people who still uses what Apple consider old tech. And so is Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder since Steve Jobs.

Wozniak stated that he is not into the wireless audio experience that even in his own car he noticed that Bluetooth have flatter tones compared to wired jacks. In short, he is implying that wired is the way to go in terms of high quality audio experience. So with regards to Apple going wireless with some re invented EarPods, Woz is not a fan.

It is also to be noted that not long ago, Wozniak even suggested that Apple make some Android smartphones. This is all for good humor, of course. But the always outspoken, candid and frequently Apple-critical “Woz” believes “USB-C is going to be the future”, and “if it’s missing the 3.5mm earphone jack”, the iPhone 7 is “going to tick off a lot of people.”

Steve Wozniak, however, sees this as a very bad move from Cook’s part saying that, “Apple is good at moving towards the future” but looks that Bluetooth on modern smartphones won’t help the population move forward in a good way. Maybe even shying off loyal iPhone users and shift across Android.

He still uses his Nexus 5X and his custom made earphones and say that its USB Type-C have been more useful from the rest of devices that he had used before.
